Top 4 excuses we hear…
When we ask a client who is in for a portrait session the question, “When was your last professional portrait done,” more often than you would think, the answer is either NEVER or at my son/daughter’s wedding a few years ago.
For some of our clients, their entire infancy, childhood and teen years do not exist in portraits hanging on the walls of their childhood home.
We would love to encourage you to not let these excuses stop you.
Number ONE excuse…”We are too busy.”
Everyone is busier than ever these days, but once you set aside the time to schedule your family or child’s portrait, you will be so glad. In fact, you will feel elated that you finally accomplished such an important item on your “Things to Do” list. Every year, as you look back at your beautiful portrait, it will give you such pleasure and every year, it will grow in value.
In fact, it will become priceless.
Number TWO excuse…”I need to lose weight.”
Your child/husband/wife does not see you the same way you see yourself in the mirror. They don’t see the weight. They simply see the one they love and when you look back at these portraits in 10 or 20 years, they will become a precious, irreplaceable possession. Don’t let this excuse stop you.
Number THREE excuse…”I take family photos all the time on my phone.”
While these are important, they simply don’t compare to having professional portraits done. The quality and value of professional portraits can never be matched with a phone shot. Phones are not the place to store your memories and they cannot produce the permanent legacy pieces you want to pass down. Plus there is the entire experience of coming into the studio, all dressed up with your family and taking the time out of your day to create memories that don’t happen with the quick snap of the iPhone.
Number FOUR excuse…”It’s too hard to figure out clothing.”
We’ve got you covered on this with our clothing guides and advice. We are always available via text when you are shopping to look at your choices and give you our opinion. We keep this process simple. Whether you opt to do a black and white portrait where you all dress in shades of gray and black or a luxurious color portrait where we keep the palette of choices limited, we will help you every step of the way.
“Today stop making excuses about why you can’t get it done and start focusing on all the reasons why you must make it happen.”
